Join Smallworks as a Carpenter and play a key role in crafting sustainable, innovative housing solutions in Vancouver. This hands-on position is vital to ensuring our construction projects run smoothly, with responsibilities ranging from back framing to finishing. You’ll support multiple projects at any given time, working collaboratively with a passionate team committed to reshaping urban living.

Key Responsibilities

Take direction from the Construction Coordinator and Site Supervisors to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
Proficient in take-offs and estimations to support project planning.
Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude toward clients, property occupants, coworkers, and subcontractors.
Provide on-site solutions to challenges and proactively contribute to problem-solving.
Offer feedback to drive continuous improvement in our processes and practices.

What We’re Looking For

A comprehensive understanding of the building process and familiarity with the BC Building Code.
The ability to work independently and as a team leader.
Strong time management and communication skills to keep projects on schedule and aligned with client expectations.
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Provide your own basic carpentry tools.

Preferred Experience

3-5 years of carpentry or relevant trades experience.
