Sales Representative
Job Description:
Smallworks, the premier builder of laneway homes and infill development in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team. So far, our success has been fostered by our ability to react to our clients’ needs and in turn, create a meaningful relationship with that individual or family. We build great little houses for people and families who need housing, and we knock it out of the park when we do it.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for our prospective clients. This role involves assessing project viability, estimating costs, presenting timelines, conducting site visits, touring clients through our current projects under construction, supporting events, and signing phase one design agreements. The ideal candidate will have a background in high- end sales, with a preference for candidates with real estate, construction, or design experience.
Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, offering exceptional customer service.
- Conduct in-home site visits to present initial thoughts on project viability, cost, and timeline.
- Lead tours of our existing projects under construction to prospective clients.
- Support the planning and execution of promotional and educational events.
- Present and sign phase one design agreements with clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless communication and project progression.
Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably in a high-end or luxury market.
- Background in real estate and/or construction is strongly desired.
- Experience or strong interest in architectural or interior design.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is a plus.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Construction Management, Design, or related field preferred.
Additional Requirements:

- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Carpenter
Job Summary
The role consists of a range of varying activities and includes but is not limited to back framing and finishing. The role is essentially a hands on supporting role for our projects in construction at any one time.
Responsibilities
- Accepts direction from the Construction Coordinator and Site Supervisors
- Proficient in take offs and estimations
- Displays good manners and attitude toward the clients, occupants of the property, co-workers and sub-contractors
- Provides solutions to onsite issues
- Provides feedback to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Sound understanding of the entire building process and building code
- Work effectively as an individual or a team leader
- Full Drivers licence and vehicle
- Basic tooling required
- Strong time management and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- 3-5 years carpentry/trades experience
